(Good) Danny Heng Honkai Star Rail lifeban Another fellow cast out and cast off from his tribe. Sett bonded with Danny nearly immediately and is pretty willing to stomp a mudhole in anyone that hurts him. And then stomp it dry. Danny is extremely straightforward in some ways, and very quietly reserved in others. He barely has much of the story, but also what he's found out on account of Bad Danny is painting a PICTURE. He very much approves of Danny and Jing Yuan and thinks whatever's going on there is wildly complicated, but good on them for having another chance. And some fucking happiness. Fighting Danny was simply FUN and he had a great time, and the softer times they've spent has drawn them closer as well. There's a lot they honestly don't NEED to say because they just sort of get it. It doesn't need to be laid out, and it ends up being very chill because of that. Also Sett attracted to deadpan twunks say it isn't so. Moe has replaced hair care because we honestly don't get any good shit here. He gets a pass.

Kaine Marvel Comics markofkaine Kaine pushes every single one of Sett's buttons. Like, RIVERDANCES on them on the regular. And, admittedly, Sett does the same. They've settled into a weird friends rivals friends dynamic that the exact boundaries shift from day to day, situation to situation. But it's more stable than it was, thanks to a few solid, guilt fueled, frustrated talks... And Kaine getting kidnapped. Not that Sett knows that's what happened, and would be enraged to find out. So Sett has approximately 3420982403480 and a half issues with abandonment and absolutely no constructive vent for them. And it just seemed likely that Kaine could just fuck off from them for a while (the longer it went, the less likely it became, but rational thought isn't INVITED IN HERE.) He didn't mean to set off Kaine's issues with the violation of privacy or changing HIS things without him, but taking down all of the cats he decorated Kaine's room with seemed to have at least patchily mend the bridge. Hilariously, I think Kaine's the Sloth who Sett knows the most about and who knows the most about Sett. And it kind of HAD to happen otherwise they'd have murdered each other by now. They're still hissing under the door at each other, but starting to chatter too. Maybe soon you can leave them in the same room for a while. Maybe.

Jing Yuan Honkai Star Rail lionsleeps General or Boss. Doesn't matter. The guy's in charge and Sett has no reason to contest it or shake things up. In fact, the few times he's nipped at Jing Yuan's heels, he's eaten the floor SUPER HARD. He's absolutely had fun trying this though and honestly has only been encouraged to get more creative at his nipping. Sett is absolutely happy to keep dragging JY out to play. ENRICHMENT. They've also gotten fairly close, both through the encounters with Bad Danny and just time. Slowly over conversations just draped out he's started to learn more about Jing Yuan and the precarious position he is, dealing with grief and not quite right ghosts of his own past. Even though Sett hasn't quite gotten to where he can accept Jing Yuan's observations of himself... He seems tired beyond a nap, but well. Naps are cheap and easy here at least. Maybe he could get JY an instrument....

Adrien OC eudaimoniac Has he slept? Eaten? Breathed enough? Sett's not sure. He's a good looking guy and all but could use some cardio at the LEAST. He feels particularly sheepish around Adrien because he's well aware that he tends to garner those in the distance looks of oh no and Sett can't always figure out why. But he seems nice? Definitely would like to get to know him better. He saw Kaine and Adrien holding hands on the way back and SHITYEAHHHHH. You go, bros!!

Megumi Final Fantasy XIV menphina The Matriarch! Could have been the leader, Sett figures, but isn't. Which works out, honestly, power dynamics would be annoying and too much work to shift though. He likes her. She means well, even if her medicines taste like absolute roadkill. (They do work wonders though.) She's offered him comfort, an ear to listen, and patience when he's needed it. He can tell she's got a lot going on under the surface, and some rough past as well, but he really wasn't ready for some of the things it ACTUALLY was (thread ongoing). She's sweet, but her flirting is dangerous. She clearly needs companionship and is achingly lonely without. Though he has noticed that her sense of danger and weirdness are just CALIBRATED VERY DIFFERENTLY.

WRATH

Tartaglia Genshin Impact (AU) childeishly SHARK PUNCHING BROS. He knows next to nothing about Tartaglia other than he's flirty, has an excellent chest and TURNS INTO A MOTHERFUCKING TENTACLE DRAGON. He's badass and Sett is his friend. Sett has decided this.

??? Genshin Impact eonsadrift Wanderer (blue) is a spicy little meatball. He has not gotten Wanderer's name and he has also not asked. He has NO idea why they look alike, but they're definitely different in how they act and smell. THIS ONE IS A LITTLE SHIT. But got himself tangled up in the tree and was utterly hilarious at the time. So A+++. (Also backed off and helped a little when they were looking for Kaine, so... some points there.) Therefore, Sett likes him. And will annoy him as much as possible.

Weapy Honkai Star Rail bitterhealing WEIRD TREE GUY. Turned out to also be a GREAT FIGHTER AND FUN TO PLAY WITH. Jing Yuan was also pretty happy about the idea of Sett trouncing him. Or maybe it was Weapy trouncing Sett. Hard to tell when JY gets that :3 face. But the man's lack of a want to talk has perked up Sett's interest and his mischievous side. Clearly, the best way to deal with this guy is to continue poking until he explodes. Surely that will go GREAT.

Spider-man Marvel Comics intelligent Okay Spider Mans just need to fucking learn how to swear. Otherwise, Sett has decided he and Miguel are friends, despite still not knowing Miguel's name. They walked into hell (a clearly haunted place) together to try and rescue a mutual friend. Miguel also has that dry, sarcastic humor and approach to everything that just jives well with Sett and his bombastic approaches. It puts him at ease in SHEER FAMILIARITY. Anyways, Sett will clearly go hang out as if they've been buds for years. Good luck, Miguel.

Bel Granblue Fantasy ahellgao Cocky, confident. He's got that swagger, knows what he wants and is pretty damn direct about it. Though Sett's opinion got tanked a bit when Megumi told him Belial pushes past a no... There's a lot about Belial that is how Sett views power and how he fronts in his worst ways, and during the worst points of his life. Sett often conflates confidence with control and being put together. He believes life really is a situation where the powerful take what they want from the weaker, and it's why he desperately needs to be powerful, to not be taken FROM any more. And SEEING that pay out in a person just reinforced this and slaps a DEEPLY sexy veneer on it. MAN THIS GUY DOES THINK WITH HIS DICK, but also distracts with it too. They had a real fucking good time (literally) but Sett also had those moments of ... a danger that never played out prickling his skin here and there. A look that was decidedly not tender, or a moment that definitely could have gone further. This is also not something that turns him off. Sigh. On the other hand, he's starting to get curious about Belial himself. So he's going to try and make friends to, you know, tack onto the benefits.

??? Twisted Wonderland effeminoxious ALSO DOES NOT KNOW EPEL'S NAME. But he felt the connection via the bro code. And that time right then was beating the shit out of creepy snowmen. Lot of fight in the kid, stronger than he looks. In fact, directly proportional to how buff he doesn't look.

LUST

Kalim Twisted Wonderland separating-poison He gets Kalim. Dude just wants to dance and play tunes, lay down a beat. Fuck yeah, honestly. Shame he's stuck in this hellhole. He should be out there cutting up a floor or pulling a song together. Kalim's a lil bro at this point. Sure, the kid's pretty pure and a lot naive in places, but also there's a lot going on under the surface that Kalim hides with a smile. Sett gets that too. He wishes Kalim would stand up more for himself, though he has nearly no idea of Kalim's actual circumstances, and will be even less ABLE to understand it once he does. Basically, the guy's not okay, but he's all right anyway. The real trick is seeing if the people who care about him can keep him that way. The trouble is they're not on the same team, so it can't be Sett. But at least he can be there to talk after. ALSO WHY DOES KALIM READ AS VAGUELY HOT TO HIM AFTER KAREN??? Lusts AOE is powerful and dangerous.

Ruby Oshi no Ko aididitmyway ANOTHER MUSICAL PERSON HERE! Is that the real theme?? She seems fun and nice and cute and dances and sings! Shame about the horrible psycho in the middle of the lake stalking her. Learning more about her, he's absolutely a shooter for her at this point. SHE HAS BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH AND SHE IS GOING TO FUCKING MAKE IT TO THE TOP AND WHEN SHE DOES HE'S GOING TO BUY ALL OF THEIR MERCH. If they both know NewJeans it's clearly possible. Make it big, Ruby. (also don't get murdered)

Vil Twisted Wonderland poisonista Put together, stylish, confident AND an acrobatic fighter. Guy's got it all, and the followers to back it up. He isn't sure why Lust isn't practicing their powers on each other, but if what they do is what he says, he figures he knows why it's a big ask. Luckily, Sett's pretty sure he absolutely can't ask anything weirder than say, Gowther would. Good, fun fight though. Would like to talk shop with him. Also another man for the band he's ABSOLUTELY putting together in his head.

Whatever Ensemble Stars!! discomposer Oh Whatever is a wild one, for sure. He is focused on music and just on music and everything else seems to be just static that is secondary but perhaps an influence to music. He absolutely has already recruited him to the band that is happening. He's like this weird negaverse version of Aphelios, honestly. Composes, plays anything... but UTTERLY lacking those sharp, quiet edges and too careful watchfulness. He can't wait to put them in a room together.

GREED

Wriothesley Genshin Impact captivitea DUKE OVERLORD OF JAIL! Wriothesley is definitely high up there in Sett's favorite people. This guy? He GETS IT. He's absolutely comfortable joking around, trading some sparring, or just chilling with. He SO wants to see him get his weapons and maybe a FIGHTING ROBOT and finally really cut loose. Wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of him, but doesn't figure it'll happen outside of the games. Gets the feeling he wont hold what happens in the pit against Sloth, which is another point in his favor. ALSO HIGHLY DANGEROUS ON THE FLIRTATION FACTOR... and frankly, the idea of being a sandwich with two Wrios is uh. COMPELLING. But he like Neuvi and wont make any moves there beyond playing some gay chicken without talking things out.

Bailu Honkai Star Rail imbabytorlunae Jing Yuan (and by proxy, in Sett's mind, Danny's) kid. He wants to pick her up and let her sit on his shoulder forever. SHE'S ADORABLE. And feisty. BOTH OF WHICH GO HAND IN HAND. He'd absolutely murder the fuck out of anyone that hurt her.

Kurumi School-Live! shoveltalks Okay sure she smells a little, you know, post alive, but he's not going to discriminate on that. In fact, she's probably one of the most up front competent people he's met short of Neuvi, actually. Tiny girl, most adult. Or maybe just the most weathered by whatever her situation is (which he declined to ask more about having gotten a content warning and an option to back out.) But if he thinks about it too hard that way he'll probably get sad and why do that to a good Sett? She's got high on respect points. Now if he manages to listen to her when she brings up actually good plans and objections, they might be cooking with gas.

Malleus Twisted Wonderland tsunotaro NEW LIZARD FRIEND. Guess he's royalty? The guy seemed constantly surprised by normal interactions (nothing about fight club is normal but it is for Sett so THERE YOU GO). Sett's not entirely sure he wasn't cursed for a thousand lifetimes by touching Malleus given the "willing to touch him" comment, but eh, he seems nice. He'll deal with it later. Anyone who comes to Fight Club is good in Sett's book.

Tsukasa Suou Ensemble Stars!! heavyliesthecrown Okay so like, there's no way that at THIS POINT, there isn't some MUSICAL CONNECTION they are going for in all of these kidnapees. Tsukasa is fun. Sett has no idea what's going on in the guys brain but it's going BRRRRRRR and Sett really wants to know what happens at the end of that. Possibly from a safer distance than last time but dude. He has to admire the gumption of this lil guy who was scared of the task when starting out BUST OUT AND START CHUCKING ICE AT A MONSTER IN THE HALLWAY. Dude's got confidence to spare, and the oddest thing really is hearing the languages shift under an autotranslate magic but still being able to understand but know they were two different languages and ... Sett really doesn't have enough brain and sometimes he just assumes it was Spider-Man static going on. Because that's easier.

PRIDE

Yuuri Genshin Impact (AU) abovefate Wanderer (purple) is also a spicy little meatball, but they're just hilariously fitting for what team they're on. He has no idea why they look and sound the same, but the smell of lightning around this one is pretty exciting. He's SO full of it, it's hilarious. It's basically catnip and Sett's going to keep poking him and seeing what happens.

??? Akatsuki no Yona jadewine The amount of people who get ROBBED by being cut off from magic by being here is tragic. Guy seemed pretty chill and absolutely on the same sort of wavelength as Sett. Made Sett wonder if HE could jump high enough to fly too with enough magic. Shit dude, it's worth a SHOT. Would definitely seek out. Seems friend shaped.

Pyro Ennead shiftingsands DUDE PUSHED SETT OFF THE ROOF AND THEN YELLED AT HIM THROWING A BRANCH BACK AS A MURDER ATTEMPT. Honestly, what the fuck, man? He definitely didn't leave Sett to get killed. CONFUSING. And CONTINUES TO BE CONFUSING. Pyro's really hung up on Sett's name. It's weird. Maybe he thinks Sett's some god. I mean, understandable. Look at him. Probably doesn't mean anything though. Their interactions are fun, because they really do shift nicely back and forth between introspection, curious circling and them just being complete arses at each other. As it should be.

ENVY

Hunter Morning Glories counterclocked Hunter is another one of those that he doesn't quite understand. He's in that Adrien category in Sett's mind of likely to fall apart but hasn't yet because he really has no choice but to be in a vaguely human, okayish shape. AND NOW HE KNOWS WHY. Hunter had mentioned before that his world is worse than here, and the fact that he still has friends there is a weight on his shoulders... suddenly became very apparent with the school memory. On one hand, he has no idea if that's just??? The way school is?? People talk about still having nightmares about school. But uh, this seems excessive? A lot? Especially because these kids didn't seem to really have any way of fighting back. What if Sett makes a detour to that world to do some head cracking? WHAT IF? Honestly a solid dude, good to talk to even though their communication styles are SO different they keep tripping on each other, and he is genuine about anything but himself.

Fartface Seven Deadly Sins eq LISTEN HERE YOU LITTLE SHIT!!!!!!!!!! Unfathomable. Strange. Evil. Funny. IF ONLY HE COULD TURN HIM ON OTHER PEOPLE. ALSO WHY DO YOU KEEP TURNING INTO SETT? WHAT IF SETT #1 BECOMES SETT #2?? Sett is always off guard with Gowther and probably ends up just yelling, flailing and falling for whatever he has in mind. His danger level is off the charts. Literally, now. On the other hand, they keep having these oddly deep or considerate moments now and then. Points where he seems to see who he is under that chaos gremlin side, and a feeling that there's some care for Sett? Beyond that odd interest Gowther shows in everything. And that endears him deeply enough that Gowther's pranks are seen often in the best possible light (as affection). Though if that turns out to be a prank as well, Sett would never forgive him.

Aloy Horizon: Forbidden West despitethenora Wrio recommending her to help was an immediate boost up in Sett's esteem, but Aloy is absolutely one that Sett will seek out to learn more about and hang out with after Karenquest. Aloy was practical, handy and there for the cleanup. Her immediate eyes towards salvage and willingness to drive Karen a bit further for public good all were good flags that this person is uniquely suited to this fucking place. And that might be handy when things inevitably get harder again.

GLUTTONY

Aphelios League of Legends (AU) aphelios Aphelios has been a constant and a rock in Sett's life so much that there's likely a before and after in his mind. They've been best friends for years, and the only ones who didn't realize they were both in love with each other were them. The power of that blindspot was all encompassing. It had its own gravitational mass. He knows Phel is a jerk and overworks himself and is the most ruthless prankster he knows and is stupidly kind when he wants to be and pours himself into his music like nobody else he's ever met and may actually also be the most deadly person he knows. In fact, Sett's realizing that Phel might have been keeping a LOT more back, and he's ... well, he aint squared up totally either so it's fair? It's fair. He's thrilled with the change to their relationship. Over the goddamn moon. BOYFRIEND!!!!

Valencia OC vitainmorte Val started out with them nearly fighting, both shutting down at one point or another, and generally just accidentally stepping right on each others hangups and traumas. And now, somehow, she's one of the people he cares about the most. But he absolutely loves her. How ticklish she is, and the sneaky mischievous side she has. He loves how serious and thoughtful she can be, and how dangerous she is. He likes the quiet moments between them. Her consideration warms his heart and just.. How much she's into him. INTO THEM. And wants to make this work. He loves his girlfriend, thanks, and she needs to come home with him to meet mom. It'll be fine, maybe she can set up a church there!! That will clearly solve ALL of the problems. There's something else she's keeping back that she has danced around, and there's at least some resolution to talk about it.

Neuvillette Genshin Impact judications Neuvillette is just SO earnest. SO EARNEST. He really can't help messing with him a little bit. This is mostly because Sett is a jackass too. LESS THAN HIS OTHER BANDMATES BUT UH, Yeah. But Neuvillette is just... honestly kind to him?? Like, honestly. With as far as Sett can tell, no motives or reason at all. He doesn't know what to DO with that. But he finds it both endearing and something that puts Neuvillette on Sett's 'would punch a bastard for this guy' list.

??? Vampire: The Requiem (AU) witchandverypowerful AM I BEING JUDGED? Okay. Valid. BUT ALSO!!!

Bad Danny Honkai Star Rail (AU) eggshell THERE HAS BEEN NO FORGIVENESS FOR SHOOTING PHEL. But oh man, getting to PUNCH HIM IN HIS DAMN FACE WAS SO FUCKING GOOD. Sure, Sett got fucked up and honestly, if it wasn't for Wrio and literally half of Fight Club about to jump in, Sett might have eaten serious shit but. He'd do it again. He shouldn't do it again. He promised JY he wouldn't do it again. But when it happens, it absolutely wasn't that he MEANT to. In some WEIRD WAY this has made their relationship better for like... both of them? Sett's a lot more chill with Dan Feng and is more comfortable just teasing him. And he still sort of watches out for him because JY would be sad EVEN THOUGH HE KNOWS ENOUGH THAT HE'S STILL CONFLICTED ABOUT THAT. Danny why you gotta make it so complicated. He can't wait to have a good(citations needed) excuse to fight again.
