[It is, most of the cats are actually in the back getting their evening meal, so really, the ones out here are the gluttons that are done already. Or the one or two that require coaxing.

It's one of the latter, a little tortie, who spots Trey and trots over, angling for a bit of lap time with a favorite.

The cat man looks up from where he was wiping down the counter and grins, easy and warm.]

Sup Trey! Workin' late?

[He's already pulling cups down and a plate.]

Whatcha feeling, my man?

You know how it is. Hustle never stops.

[He slides into his usual set, giving the tortie a little scritch as she trots over. Understandable why she’s staked out his lap - Eonia wear is really just the coziest. His hoodie looks soft and voluminous enough to fit a dozen cats.]

You know the drill. Surprise me.

Course. [He gets himself busy. Water starts to percolate, and the griddle starts to heat up.

That hoodie IS big enough to fit a dozen cat, or one cat doing their BEST to turn into ooze and fill out every available bit of space. She flips up onto her back, all four paws up in the air, still rubbing against his fingers.]

Could use a hustle break myself these days. I heard the DreamDrift's gonna make port soon, so all sorts around lately.

The DreamDrift? You buy into that sales pitch? Please.

I'll give it that it's got the glitz, but enda the day, it's a fancy boat with a million dollar tagline.

[The coffee, of course, comes first. The aroma is rich and deep, and the coffee served is cut with just a little cream to soften the acerbic bite of a late night brew into a mellow smoothness to go down easy.

He tried to do a little cat face in the latte art. As usual, it just falls short of good into cartoonishly recognizable.]

[The mask gets lifted up just enough that he can bring the coffee to his lips. rip latte cat]

[The ears perk up at that assessment, and the lazy swish of tail is pleased.]

[He twirls a plate on two fingers before setting it down. A delicious tortilla paisana is slid in front of Trey.]
