I'll get you some vodka.

[Gets up again, returning to the kitchen. There's another shuffle of things in cupboards (as he retrieves the bottle stashed down with the cleaning supplies), and the relieving sharp tang of alcohol in the air.

The glass he brings back and puts down has another finger of crystal-clear liquid in it.]
demonicdomestic: (thank you)

[Definitely not laughing at that. Nope. Not at all.]

I'm glad to hear it.

I was not giving you alcohol after that snow globe without some kind of immersive paradigm shift between then and now.
demonicdomestic: (just as we thought)

It's currently in the bottom drawer of my nightstand. Would you like to take possession of it again, or leave it with me?
demonicdomestic: (no one has ever said that)

It triggered when I caught it from you. So... I understand.

[That dusty-dry smell still clings to him, in the wake of it.]

I don't mind watching over it.
demonicdomestic: (be more considerate)

Don't be.

It wasn't the kind of experience words could have explained.

I imagined you would be. Even if it's not "yours", even if you had time to cool off... rage like that doesn't just go away.
demonicdomestic: (surprisingly ordinary)

[personal profile] demonicdomestic 2024-10-30 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
You're the first person I've heard say something like that.
demonicdomestic: (another day)

Yes.

Some accept these as "memories" with little protest, and have few issues internalizing them. Others -- a good number more, proportionately -- have expressed fear that this is some sort of brainwashing or possession, and that we'll lose ourselves to them.

But hearing someone else actively want to pursue them... that's a first. Especially among those very actively and notably effected by their content.
