That basically overrides any response she can reasonably say; he loves her? Of course he loves Phel, they've known each other forever, but how exactly does she fit into that equation so soon? Is he sure? Is he just playing? He's just joking. He's being cute about it.

... Is she even capable of loving someone in that way? She's barely good enough for sex, isn't she, so how can she possibly measure up to that sort of expectation?
